Title: Night Dispatch/Clerk

MAX PAY RATE: $23.00/hr

Interview Schedule: 1 phone interview (will be scheduled within 24 hours. Please have interview availability along with the candidates phone number on the resume).

Candidate will be covering medical leave (4-6 months), with the possibility of transitioning to a full time Sysco Colleague at the end of the assignment (there will be an increase in pay if brought on full time)- This is a 3rd shift position.

HOURS: M-F: 9pm-5am Monday-Thursday- Will be working other clerical duties in addition to dispatching as there is an additional person dispatching. Friday worker will solely be dispatching.

MUST HAVE ON RESUME OR IN CHAT FEATURE ON JOB SEEKER PROFILE:

  • Notate if the worker would be interested in going full time with Sysco should the opportunity arise or not.
  • Processing invoicing, process request credits/deny claims on orders.
  • Experience with ensuring Drivers have keys and proper manifest paperwork, ensuring drivers have what they need for their assignments.

Will train for a week or two before the worker takes over on their own.

3-5 Years of Experience, This is an Operations position responsible for performing clerical duties within the Transportation department including maintaining all regulatory compliance as required by the Department of Transportation. Responsibilities include: Gather, organize and process driver daily paperwork, logs, manifest, vehicle inspection, etc.; Answer phones, route calls and take messages; Research short on truck that driver�s call in; Respond to delivery associate issue and provide support for resolution; Create Driver Qualification files as needed and maintain all required documents in Supervision as required under Department of Transportation guidelines, i.e. driver�s license status, Medical Examination Cards, Certificate of Violations, monitor MVR status, etc.; Monitor and review all driver logs and violations through the onboard computer system, Telogis; Run daily reports for transportation supervisors, i.e. Observations, Vehicle Tracking, etc.; Daily monitoring of Drive Cam Events and processing them for coaching and signatures; Backup for New Driver DOT Training; Perform all other tasks as assigned by supervision or management. Requirements include a high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent, ability to read, write, and understand English, basic arithmetic skills, good physical stamina and conditioning, and the ability to learn to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making. The dispatcher is responsible for fielding incoming calls from drivers and customer service; gathering and recording delivery time information and delivery status on selected accounts. Assists with other functions required of the Transportation Department.RESPONSIBILITIESGat ers and records delivery time information from route drivers.Communicates with management and customer service on route driver locations as requested, deliveries that will not be made within delivery windows, and truck breakdowns.Reviews delivery logs daily for accuracy making corrections as needed.Works with purchasing department on all product pick-ups, and assigning drivers to complete pick-ups and return product and paperwork to receiving.Reassigns drivers to delivery routes when another driver calls out.Makes and communicates minor delivery route adjustments as needed.Addresses customer issues and directs calls to customer service as needed.Makes adjustments that will cause substantial disruption in a route or meeting delivery time windows.
