Job Description

To work as an integral part of this Marine Strategic Team, we’re looking for a Marine Vessel Commercial Consultant to assist with the commercial aspects of pursuits, tenders, business cases, risk management, T&Cs, negotiations, and contractual extension & other options.

Qualifications:

Requires an undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, or related disciplines, and 10+ years of industry and/or functional experience. MBA and/or CPA preferred. Macro knowledge of the maritime / marine vessel industry and / or upstream offshore oil and gas industry is required to properly understand the fundamentals affecting the vessel portfolio, along with specific knowledge in risk analysis, economic and financial analysis, investment and cashflow analysis, understanding the implications of vessel ownership versus leasing, understanding vessel contracts and T&Cs (specifically, in the BIMCO contract), understanding the responsibility matrix and impact of associated changes, and an understanding of contractual options.

Ability to work effectively on a cross-functional team (Marine Strategic Team) of experts (PE Global Vessel Manager, PE Duncan-based Marine Technology support, PM&L Marine Contract Lead and local geography-based marine vessel & shore base managers) in their respective functional disciplines.
